Peter Gray MIBC, ACIB

Peter has enjoyed a total of thirty-five years of business experience, initially working within the banking sector, and then subsequently creating and operating his own businesses, and practising as a senior generalist / adviser. Through these involvements he has developed an ability to understand and empathise with business owners and, whilst entrepreneurial by nature, is an astute assessor of risk.

After eighteen years in the City, and having held several senior management positions at Branch and Head Office level servicing SME’s, Peter left in 1990 to seek fresh challenges, having identified a need for providers of sound and thoughtful senior generalist counselling facilitation and advice. In parallel with this practice, he created and ran several successful businesses and continues to act as Chairman of two small Plc’s.

Through this varied career path, Peter has acquired an extensive knowledge of what it takes to operate a successful business in both good and troublesome trading environments. He has a strong record in such areas as strategic change and development, innovation, financial restructuring, profit enhancement, troubleshooting and turnaround/recovery – and all of that across a wide range of industry sectors.

He has acted in a Non Exec capacity to many established owner/manager businesses. His own company background has enhanced his ability to communicate and to assist decision makers in all aspects of business planning and management.

Peter is calm and methodical in approach and recognises the value of listening and observing before forming business opinions. He sees himself as creative and innovative and very much a team player, whilst being objective and independent. As a seasoned business professional with an entrepreneurial flair, Peter offers no-nonsense counselling facilitation and advice on all aspects of business management, whilst adopting a good measure of common sense, to help business people to realise their full potential and, in turn, their vision.

Peter is a Full Member of the Institute of Business Consulting (MIBC) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB)
