Chris Farrance - FIBC, MBA, DFS, MCIM

After a career spanning thirty years with a major UK bank, Chris has worked for the last fifteen years as a Non Exec, honing and developing thoughtfully his business skills and insights.

He has supported many business start-ups, franchises, entrepreneurial businesses, family-owned firms and SME businesses of all kinds, as well as FTSE 100 companies. With his focus on actionable and pragmatic outcomes, Chris offers both the breadth of his strategic vision and of his experience, and the sharp focus and expertise of his analytical thinking. His strong counselling and facilitation skills help client companies to focus deeply on to the core essentials of their business model, their customer proposition, and how internal competencies are aligned to deliver demonstrable customer value.

He is particularly passionate about making sure that people have or acquire the right skills - and more importantly - the right attitude in order to be able to deliver effective performance. He enjoys most particularly viewing client companies from their customer’s perspective and understanding how easy – or not – it is for those customers to do business with your company. This is underpinned by his twenty years of direct professional business management development and experience with its strong focus on individual and group performance at a people, project and commercial level.

Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Business Consulting (FIBC), has an MBA, a Diploma in Financial Studies (DFS), and is a Chartered Marketer (MCIM). He is also the author of ‘Managing Relationships in a Corporate Bank’ and has written a detailed report of a Service Excellence Tour which he self funded to the US.

He also takes his own personal and professional development most seriously and has recently been accredited as an Executive Business Coach by Strathclyde University
